CITIC Group holds a press conference on the achievements of the "Giga Casting"
2024-02-28On February 27th, 2024, the press conference for the achievements of CITIC Group's "Giga Casting" was held in Changchun. Xi Guohua, Chairman of CITIC Group, Li Guoqiang, Vice Governor of Jilin Province, Lian Zilian, Mayor of Changchun, Wang Guodong, Academician of the CAE Member, Liang Guiyou, Deputy General Manager of FAW, Xu Zuo, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of CITIC Group, Zeng Qi, Deputy General Manager of CITIC Group, Liang Huijiang, Director of Investment of CITIC Shares, Zhu Zhihua, Chairman of CITIC Dicastal, and others attended the conference.
This project relies on the advanced manufacturing and research capabilities of CITIC Dicastal to achieve highly integrated design of nearly 100 components. Through self-developed and self-made China's largest two plate high pressure die casting machine, it produces the world's first heavy-duty integrated casting in the automotive manufacturing industry, helping to reshape the traditional manufacturing process of automotive vehicles.
At the press conference, CITIC Group signed strategic cooperation agreements with China FAW and Leapmotor. Representatives of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, leaders of the Jilin Provincial Party Committee and Government, and the Changchun Municipal Party Committee and Government, leaders of the CITIC Group Office, Strategic Development Department, and Business Coordination Department, leaders of CITIC Bank, CITIC Financial Assets, CITIC Heavy Industry, CITIC Metal, CITIC Holdings, CITIC Dicastal, and other industry experts and partners such as the China Foundry Association and China Society of Automotive Engineering, representatives from cooperating universities and multiple media reporters attended the press conference.
